September 9 2016

Two youths were killed on their farms by unknown armed gunmen in Gwalkofa village Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state. The killings infuriated the youths in the community who refused to allow police entry into the community to evacuate the dead bodies. The two persons were killed in the community due to clash between Pastoralists and Farmers. The youths later stopped their protest when IMC trained CPO committee members engaged them indialogue and advised them on the need to allow law enforcement agents carry out proper investigation on the issue.

Two children aged 12 and 15 were kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Fidman Agunduma Bununu in Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi state.

There was peaceful protest by members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria in Chechniya Market Kaduna State calling for the release of their leader, Sheikh El Zakzaky, who is presently being detained. The protest led to heavy traffic gridlock around the market.   However, the presence of security ensured that the protest ended peacefully.

September 10 2016

Members of the Civilian Joint Force (CJTF) in Kakuri killed the mastermind behind the killing of the Chairman of CJTF with two other members of his gang. Their bodies were mutilated by members of the CJTF in the presence of security personnel to avenge the death of their chairman who was allegedly killed by members of the gang.

September 11 2016

Police in Bauchi state arrested two suspected kidnappers in Dass community and secured the release of two teenagersheld by the abductors.

A man was reported killed in Gwalkofa close to Gada Biyu in Jema’a LGA of Kaduna State by unidentified gunmen.

A man was killed on his farm by unknown gunmen in Jagindi commuity in Jema’a local government Area of Kaduna state.

A community member was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Rijana village in Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A female suicide bomber was killed by Nigerian troops operating at the Kara cattle market Dikwa towards Antul and Mukdala inDikwa local government area, Borno State. A Civilian Joint Task Force member and a soldier sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.
